LG Introduces Commercial Robotic Vacuum Cleaner for Hotels
LG Electronics USA has launched a commercial-grade autonomous robotic vacuum cleaner, developed in collaboration with Marriott Design Lab. The device is now available for the hospitality industry following pilot implementations.

LG Electronics USA has introduced a commercial-grade autonomous cleaning device, the LG Robotic Vacuum Cleaner, developed in partnership with Marriott Design Lab. The product is now available for the hospitality industry after successful pilot programs at Marriott International properties.
The robotic vacuum cleaner is designed to meet the demands of commercial environments like hotels and resorts. It specifically targets the cleaning of hotel corridors and meeting spaces, efficiently covering large areas such as banquet halls and guestroom corridors, particularly during overnight hours to minimize guest disruption. The device utilizes LiDAR and Vision Fusion SLAM sensor technology for precise distance measurement and navigation, even in challenging spaces, and creates custom cleaning maps for each hotel.
Equipped with a 3-liter dustbin, the robot employs both suction and sweeping methods for debris removal. It comes with a multi-language mobile application and a cloud-based management platform. This system allows hotel operators to monitor cleaning progress, battery status, and location in real-time, facilitating the management of multiple units simultaneously. It also generates cleaning history data to provide operational insights.
"This is a prime example of how our collaboration with the Marriott Design Lab is advancing innovation for the entire industry," said Michael Kosla, Senior Vice President, LG Electronics USA. "We look forward to working with the Marriott Design Lab to bring a whole range of innovations to market."
Robert Guidice, Chief Global Operations Officer for Marriott International, stated that the robotic vacuum cleaner resulted from a shared dedication to reimagining hospitality operations. He noted that the Marriott Design Lab serves as an R&D hub focused on integrating technologies to enhance hotel operations.
