LG Electronics (LG) has introduced the Digital Cockpit gamma, adding to its Mobility Labworks Series of advanced technology concepts for the automotive industry. This marks the third concept in the series, following previous Alpha and Beta models.
The Digital Cockpit gamma integrates three modular solutions: Vision Display, Intelligent Human-Machine Interface (HMI), and Connectivity & Content. These components are designed to offer automakers significant flexibility in customizing cabin features to meet specific design requirements. LG states the system aims to provide end-users with enhanced convenience and seamless connectivity within the vehicle.
The Vision Display solution features a 12.3-inch Transparent OLED screen capable of providing navigation and other information. Additionally, a 14.2-inch roll-in-and-out Plastic OLED (P-OLED) display is incorporated into the center console, which can be retracted when not in use.
LG's Intelligent HMI solution utilizes AI and responsive touch technology for intuitive user-vehicle interaction. The system includes an adaptive controller with a touch-sensitive curved OLED display integrated into the steering wheel, intended to simplify management of vehicle functions.
