LG Introduces Single Duct HVAC System for Easier Installation in Tight Spaces
LG Electronics has launched a new single duct HVAC system designed to simplify installation in confined building spaces, requiring less plenum height.

LG Electronics has introduced a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system aimed at addressing installation challenges in tight building spaces. The new single duct system is designed to fit within a reduced plenum space, measuring just 245mm in height, offering up to 55mm more installation space compared to conventional systems.
Conventional ductwork installation in residential buildings can be difficult due to limited ceiling space, with each floor typically requiring around 300mm of space for ducts. LG's new slim, single duct design allows for installation in significantly lower spaces, providing greater flexibility for architects and installers in design and execution. The system also features adaptable installation options for both horizontal and vertical placement.
In many modern constructions, especially in urban environments, space optimization is crucial. Reducing the space required for ventilation ducts can lead to cost savings and enable the creation of more functional and comfortable living areas. LG's solution appears to address the demands of the evolving construction industry.
LG states that the new single duct system represents a significant upgrade for installers, offering a simpler and faster installation process. This could result in cost efficiencies for construction projects where time and space are critical constraints. The company has not yet specified exact release dates or product models but highlights the system's suitability for diverse building structures and configurations.
