LG Launches 4K Surgical Monitor to Streamline Operating Room Workflow

LG Electronics is launching a new 31.5-inch 4K surgical monitor, model 32HS710S, aimed at streamlining operating room operations. The monitor combines crisp 4K resolution (3,840 x 2,160) image quality with features designed to improve user convenience and operational efficiency. The device has received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), enabling its sale in the United States.

The new 32HS710S monitor incorporates a range of workflow-enhancing functions, making it simpler and more intuitive for medical professionals to interact with visual data. For instance, users can configure picture mode settings independently for each input source, allowing for optimal display of images from multiple devices. Dedicated hotkeys enable quick activation of preferred screen modes and Picture-by-Picture (PBP) layouts, facilitating adjustments with a single button press.

The monitor's 4K IPS display is engineered to deliver clear, detailed images with consistent color reproduction across a wide viewing angle. It offers a typical brightness of 800 cd/m² and covers approximately 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color space. The unit is compliant with the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) standard, ensuring high-quality medical imaging.

According to LG, the new surgical display aims to improve situational awareness and precision within the operating room. Its features, such as rapid image and input source switching and tailored picture settings, support surgeons' needs during complex procedures.

LG Electronics is known for its innovative display solutions across various industries, and this latest product expands the company's offerings in the health technology sector. The monitor's sales will begin in September 2025, and it is expected to offer a significant upgrade to existing operating room display systems.
