LG provides guidance on proper washing of bed linen in washing machines

LG ELECTRONICS INC. has provided consumers with detailed instructions for the effective and safe washing of bed linen in household washing machines. According to the company's guide, regular washing of bed linen is essential for maintaining bedroom hygiene, with a recommended washing interval of at least once a week.

The company emphasizes that washing frequency should be increased under certain conditions, such as during hot weather (every three days), after guests have stayed, during illness, and when stains appear. Individuals prone to allergies and acne are advised to change pillowcases as often as every other day. The company also highlights the importance of sorting laundry by color and material, and of not overloading the washing machine beyond three-quarters of the drum capacity.

When selecting a wash cycle, LG recommends primarily following the care label instructions on the textile. For cotton bed linen, the cotton cycle is generally recommended, where white linen can be washed at 60-90 °C and colored linen at 40-60 °C. A spin speed of 400 revolutions per minute is advised. Higher temperatures should only be used when necessary to extend the lifespan of the linen.

For satin bed linen, LG advises checking the material composition. Cotton-based satin can be washed at 60 °C, while 40 °C is sufficient for synthetic fibers to prevent deterioration of the material's luster and appearance. Satin also benefits from a gentle wash cycle and a maximum spin speed of 400 rpm. Detergents with active bleaching agents are not suitable for satin, and a liquid or mild powder detergent is recommended.

LG notes that its latest washing machines offer up to 15 programs for various textiles, enabling optimal washing results for different materials. The company aims to promote household hygiene and textile longevity by providing clear and useful information.
