LG TONE Free Earbuds Combine Meridian Audio with UV Sterilization
LG Electronics has launched its new LG TONE Free wireless earbuds in the US. The lineup features Meridian spatial audio technology and a UVnano charging case that kills 99.9 percent of bacteria.

LG Electronics has introduced its LG TONE Free line of true wireless earbuds in the United States. The new earbuds integrate premium audio from Meridian technology with a UVnano charging case designed to eliminate 99.9 percent of bacteria. The flagship FN6 model is priced at $149.99.
The UVnano charging case for the flagship FN6 model is the first product verified by UL to reduce bacteria. According to UL, the UV light reduces bacteria on the earbud speaker mesh by 99.9 percent during the charging cycle. This feature addresses hygiene concerns, particularly for earbuds inserted into the ear canal.
For audio performance, the TONE Free earbuds utilize Meridian's Headphone Spatial Processing (HSP) technology. This technology recreates a realistic soundstage, simulating the experience of listening to loudspeakers, and delivers clear vocal reproduction. The earbuds also include Meridian-designed EQ presets: Natural, Immersive, Bass Boost, and Treble Boost, for a tailored listening experience.
All three models in the LG TONE Free FN series are IPX4-rated, providing resistance to rain, splashes, and perspiration. They also support voice commands for Google Assistant or Siri and feature intuitive touch controls for managing music and calls. Additionally, the LG TONE Free app allows for EQ customization and locating lost earbuds via an audible beep.
The LG TONE Free FN6 offers six hours of playback, with the charging case providing an additional 12 hours of use, totaling 18 hours. Other models, the HBS-FN5W ($129.99) and HBS-FN4 ($99.99), offer the same Meridian audio technology but lack the UVnano charging case. The FN5W model includes wireless charging.
