LG Updates QNED TV Lineup with Wireless 4K and AI Enhancements
LG Electronics has unveiled its 2025 QNED evo television series, integrating wireless signal transmission and advanced AI processing into its premium LCD lineup.
LG Electronics has announced its 2025 QNED evo television lineup, marking a shift toward integrating high-end OLED features into its LCD offerings. The new models utilize a proprietary wide color gamut technology, dubbed Dynamic QNED Color Solution, which the company claims provides more realistic color expression. The entire lineup has received color volume certification from testing firm Intertek.
Technological upgrades for the 2025 series include the expansion of LG’s True Wireless 4K technology, previously restricted to the company's OLED M-series. This system uses a dedicated Zero Connect Box to transmit 4K 144Hz video signals wirelessly to the screen, reducing cable dependency. Processing power is also increased through the new α8 AI processor, which LG asserts provides nearly 70 percent faster AI performance for upscaling, HDR tone mapping, and virtual sound channel generation.
The smart platform, webOS 25, incorporates generative AI to refine user recommendations and search functionality. Through the updated AI Magic Remote, users can perform context-aware searches based on large language models. LG is also expanding the physical size range of the lineup to include a 100-inch model, addressing growing consumer demand for large-format displays.
The updated lineup will be available in sizes ranging from 40 to 100 inches. LG continues to emphasize a dual-track strategy, maintaining both self-emissive OLED and premium LCD technologies to compete in the global television market.
