LGMG Showcases Electric Mining Solutions with Ultra-Fast Charging
LGMG demonstrated ultra-fast charging and integrated energy solutions for mining electrification at its customer event. The company aims to reduce diesel dependency and maintain productivity.

LGMG showcased its strategy for mining electrification, including ultra-fast charging and integrated energy solutions, at its inaugural Global Mining Customer Service Festival in Ordos, Inner Mongolia. The event, held from October 9-11, brought together over 500 representatives from mining companies, industry organizations, and technology partners.
A live demonstration featured LGMG's electric mining trucks, intelligent fleet management systems, solar power generation, energy storage, and ultra-fast charging infrastructure operating under real mining conditions. LGMG's integrated system combines renewable energy production, battery storage, and megawatt-class charging.
A key innovation presented was LGMG's ultra-fast charging electric mining truck, capable of recharging its battery from 20% to 90% in 23 minutes under test conditions. The charging system reportedly delivers nearly 800 kWh in 18 minutes, with a peak charging power of approximately 3.6 MW. The truck incorporates a 3C fast charging architecture and is designed for temperatures ranging from -30°C to 50°C.
These solutions are particularly aimed at remote mines with limited grid capacity, aiming to reduce reliance on diesel generators. The combination of on-site renewable energy, energy storage, and high-capacity charging can significantly reduce operational costs and emissions. LGMG's intelligent mining management systems coordinate equipment operation and power availability to optimize energy efficiency.
The company has also launched a global enhanced customer service initiative covering spare parts, maintenance, smart mining operations, and refurbishment. LGMG is expanding its electric equipment line and developing solutions for challenging environments, including high altitudes and extreme temperatures.
