Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Li Auto has announced six major upgrades for its 2026 i6 model. The vehicle, expected to launch later this year, will feature enhancements in battery technology, comfort, and digital features.

Key updates include a new, self-developed 96 kilowatt-hour (kWh) battery offering a range of up to 780 kilometers on a single charge. The vehicle also supports 5C ultra-fast charging technology for significantly reduced charging times. It will feature an electric tailgate for easier loading and unloading, with adjustable height settings for user convenience.

Inside, the 2026 i6 model sees improvements to seating and displays. The front seats will include a "zero-gravity" function with massage capabilities, while the rear seats will offer a wider recline angle and adjustable leg rests. The car also incorporates a larger 29-inch 6K panoramic screen at the front and a 21-inch 4K entertainment display for rear passengers.

Li Auto has also upgraded the vehicle's computing power with two new chips: the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8797 for smooth interaction and the company's self-developed Mach M100 chip, boasting 1280 TOPS of computing power for advanced driver-assistance systems. The vehicle is scheduled for an official launch on October 28, with deliveries expected to commence in early November.
