Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Li Auto (Ideal Auto) is set to present its i6 model at the Paris Motor Show on Thursday, marking the vehicle's European premiere. The company's CEO, Li Xiang, announced via social media that the car would debut in Paris.

Li Xiang asserted that China is currently the global leader in the smart electric vehicle market, and the best user experience originates from China. "Bringing a quality Chinese car to Paris, the birthplace of the automobile, signifies how far we have advanced," he stated. The company established its first overseas research and development center in Munich in January 2023. Li Auto launched its L9 model in Central Asia in July. The new i6 model is designed with European markets in mind, considering factors like narrow city streets and parking availability. Li Auto emphasizes the i6's agility without compromising interior space or its smart features.

Li Xiang also recalled the company's origins. "When we founded the company in 2015 under the name 'Chehejia,' our first product, the SEV, was designed to meet European L6e standards. We also announced plans for a ride-sharing service in Paris and San Francisco," he said. While the company's international expansion has been deliberate, Li Auto aims to introduce the most suitable products for each market.

Li Auto aims to compete with established European automakers and showcase China's rise as a hub for automotive innovation. The Paris exhibition provides a platform to demonstrate its technological advancements and global competitiveness.
