Li Auto L6: Charging Speed Significantly Improved for July 16 Launch
Li Auto is set to unveil an updated L6 model on July 16, boasting a drastically reduced charging time. The vehicle is reported to charge from 20% to 80% capacity in just 12 minutes.

Chinese automaker Li Auto is preparing to launch a new iteration of its L6 model on July 16. Official pre-launch information highlights a significant improvement in charging speed, with the vehicle capable of charging from 20% to 80% battery capacity in a reported 12 minutes, a substantial increase over the 2025 model.
The updated L6 will feature the previously revealed "Sand Dune Yellow" exterior color. Its dimensions remain consistent with the current model at 4935/1960/1735mm, with a wheelbase of 2920mm. The powertrain continues to utilize a 1.5T turbocharged range extender engine producing 113 kW, coupled with an upgraded 51 kWh battery.
Internally, the new model largely retains the current layout. The wireless phone charging area has been slightly lowered, and the large central screen is now presented as a unified display spanning the infotainment and passenger areas, maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. Ambient lighting has also been incorporated into elements such as the door panels.
Externally, the L6 maintains the brand's signature贯穿式 (guànchuān shì – through-type) front light design. However, the front bumper area has been redesigned, with enlarged lower grille intakes. The body now features semi-flush door handles and new wheel designs. At the rear, the internal elements of the taillights have been darkened, and the license plate mounting area has been shifted upwards.
