Li Auto to Launch Updated L6 Model on July 16
Li Auto has announced the upcoming release of its updated L6 model, revealing details about its interior and a new "Dune Yellow" exterior color. The launch is set for July 16, amidst reports of significant cost increases.

Chinese automotive company Li Auto has scheduled the launch event for its updated L6 model for July 16.
The company revealed the new "Dune Yellow" exterior color and released official images of the vehicle's interior. The Li Auto L6 measures 4935/1960/1735mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2920mm. It will continue to be powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged range extender engine producing 113 kilowatts, paired with a 51 kWh battery.
The interior design largely mirrors the current model. The wireless phone charging area has been slightly lowered, and the central screen is now an integrated unit stretching across the dashboard and passenger side, maintaining a minimalist aesthetic. Ambient lighting has also been added to the cabin.
The updated L6 is reportedly facing substantial cost pressures due to rising prices of memory chips and lithium carbonate. The battery costs alone are expected to increase by over 8,000 yuan (approximately $1,100 USD), with memory chip costs adding nearly 4,000 yuan ($550 USD). These combined factors, along with other upgrades, are estimated to increase the overall cost per vehicle by more than 14,000 yuan ($1,900 USD).
