Li Auto updates i6 SUV with proprietary driving chip and increased battery capacity
Li Auto has released the 2026 i6 electric SUV, featuring the company’s internal Mach M100 computing chip and an upgraded 96 kWh battery system.

Li Auto launched the 2026 iteration of its i6 electric SUV on October 28, marking a shift toward greater vertical integration with the introduction of its proprietary Mach M100 assisted-driving chip. The hardware provides 1,280 TOPS of computing performance to support the company's Mach VLA driver-assistance software.
Efficiency gains are largely attributed to the new 96 kWh Lianshan 5C lithium iron phosphate battery. The update increases the CLTC-rated range for the rear-wheel-drive configuration to 780 kilometers, up from the previous 720-kilometer threshold. Inside the cabin, the vehicle now utilizes a Snapdragon 8797 cockpit processor to power a 29-inch 6K panoramic display.
Li Auto has set a list price of RMB 249,800, with a promotional price of RMB 239,800 running until November 30. The company indicated that current inventory models are available for delivery within two weeks.
