Li Auto announced that its upcoming i9 model will debut the company's second-generation pure electric vehicle platform on September 16. The new model will integrate multiple self-developed technologies.

Li Auto is set to unveil its new flagship i9 model on September 16, which will serve as the debut vehicle for the company's second-generation pure electric vehicle platform. CEO Li Xiang stated that the i9 will, for the first time, bring together Li Auto's self-developed battery, electric motor, M100 chip, and assisted-driving system.
The family-focused SUV is scheduled to launch on September 16 at 7:30 p.m. Beijing time. According to Li Auto, the i9 will feature a drag coefficient of 0.215, which the company claims is the lowest among mass-produced SUVs globally.
Details from China's vehicle approval list in July indicate the i9 measures 5,225 mm in length with a wheelbase of 3,168 mm. Further specifications and pricing are expected to be announced at the launch event.
