Li Shufu Steps Down as Geely Automobile Chairman

Li Shufu has resigned from his position as chairman and executive director of Geely Automobile Holdings. An Conghui has been appointed to succeed him.

An Conghui previously served as president of Geely Holding and has been closely involved in the group's vehicle operations. This change separates Li Shufu's group-level role from the day-to-day leadership of Geely's listed automobile platform.

Geely Automobile Holdings is one of China's largest private automakers, known for its portfolio of brands including Volvo and Lotus.

The move aims to streamline management by distinguishing Li Shufu's overarching responsibilities as chairman of Geely Holding Group and controlling shareholder from the operational leadership of the publicly traded car arm.
