Life Stories Launches Free Digital Platform

November 2026 – Life Stories, a nonprofit media organization, announced the public launch of its redesigned digital platform, LifeStories.org. The platform aggregates documentary films, interviews, journalism, and personal narratives into a searchable collection.
Designed for educators, students, and the public, the site aims to provide firsthand perspectives on historical events and connect ideas and people across time. The collection features over 11,000 stories, including interviews with figures such as Warren Buffett and Toni Morrison. Content is organized into shorter segments to facilitate discovery across topics like history, civic life, and social change.
Supported by Bloomberg Philanthropies' Digital Accelerator for Arts and Culture, Life Stories focuses on preserving personal experiences and insights, distinct from easily accessible data. Users can search by individual, subject, or historical moment, with integration for Google Classroom to aid educators.
Life Stories is also releasing new, free programming this fall, including a short film about an Auschwitz survivor, a profile of Katharine Graham, and additional episodes of its interview series "The Thread," alongside documentaries on Jonas Mekas and Mario Cuomo.
