Life Time and Dewitt Carolinas Begin Construction on Raleigh Residential Project

Life Time and Dewitt Carolinas officially commenced construction on Life Time Living at The Exchange Raleigh on October 29. The project represents the second phase of a 40-acre, $1 billion master-planned development in Midtown Raleigh, which aims to integrate residential, commercial, and athletic spaces.

Scheduled for completion in 2028, the development will feature a high-end residential tower alongside an 80,000-square-foot athletic club. Amenities will include a 40,000-square-foot rooftop beach club equipped with swimming pools and pickleball courts. According to company executives, the project is designed to integrate fitness and lifestyle amenities directly into the residential experience.

The development is pursuing both NGBS Green and Fitwel building certifications. Once fully realized, The Exchange Raleigh master plan is expected to include approximately 1,275 residential units, nearly one million square feet of office space, a hotel, and 125,000 square feet of retail and dining capacity.
