Broadband provider Lightning Fibre attended the 999 Display Weekend in Eastbourne from July 12-13, 2025. Now in its 38th consecutive year, the event is dedicated to celebrating and showcasing the work of local emergency and uniformed services.

The event, organized by entities including Sussex Police, East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service, and South East Coast Ambulance Service, was also supported by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency and the RNLI. Eastbourne Borough Council and Visit Eastbourne were among the supporting bodies. The weekend featured live demonstrations and opportunities for the public to see emergency vehicles and meet the individuals dedicated to community safety.

Lightning Fibre operated a stand at the event, offering interactive games and prize giveaways, including free fibre broadband subscriptions to lucky winners. The company's presence highlighted their commitment to the local community and its well-being.

The event brought together frontline teams and volunteers from various organizations such as the police, fire and rescue services, ambulance services, coastguard, and the RNLI. The weekend also coincided with Sea Sunday, with a special display by the Maritime and Coastguard Agency, underscoring the importance of maritime safety and services.
