Lilac Biosciences and Soin Neuroscience Publish Review on RNA Biomarkers for Neuropathic Pain

Lilac Biosciences and Soin Neuroscience have jointly published a clinical review in Frontiers in Pain Research. The article details how RNA biomarkers could introduce an objective measurement for neuropathic pain, a condition traditionally assessed through subjective patient reporting.

The review, titled "New Insight into RNA Biomarkers in Neuropathic Pain: A Clinician and Neuroscientist Roadmap to Translational Testing and Treatment Monitoring," provides a practical framework for translating RNA biomarker science into clinical tools.

Neuropathic pain has historically been difficult to quantify, compelling clinicians to rely on patient-reported symptoms to evaluate disease severity and treatment response. The review explores how RNA biomarkers, including m6A modifications, might help characterize pain, support treatment selection, and monitor patient response over time.

"Pain is experienced subjectively, but it is driven by underlying molecular events," stated Amol Soin, founder and CEO of Soin Neuroscience. "Identifying reproducible RNA changes may offer an opportunity to measure and manage neuropathic pain with far greater precision." The collaboration merges Lilac Biosciences' quantitative RNA workflows with Soin Neuroscience's clinical pain management and neuromodulation expertise.
