Lincoln Educational Services faces class action lawsuit over enrollment disclosures

A securities class action lawsuit has been filed against Lincoln Educational Services (NASDAQ: LINC), alleging the company made materially misleading statements regarding its student enrollment pipeline between May and August 2026. The complaint claims that while the company publicly touted 19.5% growth in student starts, it failed to disclose that a significant number of enrolled students were not attending classes.

The litigation further alleges that the company maintained optimistic full-year guidance despite knowing that federal student loan repayment requirements were causing borrower defaults, which in turn hindered the conversion of enrollments into actual students. According to the court filing, these operational issues were not adequately communicated to the market until the second-quarter earnings report.

Shares of Lincoln Educational Services dropped 24.93% on August 10, 2026, following the company's disclosure of the softening conversion metrics. The case is filed in the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey. The deadline to seek appointment as lead plaintiff is November 10, 2026.
