Lindian Resources acquires full ownership of SARECO rare earth processing facility
Lindian Resources Limited has acquired the remaining 49% of the SARECO rare earth processing facility in Kazakhstan, securing 100% ownership.

Lindian Resources Limited has finalized the acquisition of the remaining 49% interest in the SARECO Mixed Rare Earths Carbonate (MREC) hydrometallurgical processing facility located in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. This transaction grants Lindian full, 100% ownership of the facility, a key asset in the company's strategy to expand its rare earth element production.
The acquisition marks a significant step for Lindian, consolidating its previous 51% stake with the newly acquired 49% interest. Full ownership is expected to allow Lindian to more effectively integrate SARECO's operations into its broader strategy and development plans, aiming to ensure a reliable supply of high-quality rare earth elements.
The SARECO facility has a history of MREC processing. Lindian intends to leverage the site's existing infrastructure and operational expertise to enhance production efficiency and improve the process economics. The company anticipates that full control will provide strategic advantages and operational flexibility.
Demand for rare earth elements has seen substantial growth, driven by sectors such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, and advanced electronics. Lindian's increased control over the SARECO facility positions the company to capitalize on this market trend and strengthen its role as a supplier of critical minerals.
