Lindian Resources acquires full ownership of SARECO's rare earth processing plant
Lindian Resources Limited has acquired the remaining 49 percent of the SARECO-operated rare earth elements hydrometallurgical plant in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. This move grants Lindian 100 percent ownership.

Lindian Resources Limited announced on August 10, 2026, that it has completed the acquisition of the remaining 49 percent of the SARECO-operated mixed rare earth carbonate (MREC) hydrometallurgical plant located in Stepnogorsk, Kazakhstan. The transaction brings Lindian's total ownership of the facility to 100 percent.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition fulfills Lindian's objective to gain complete control over the plant, which the company has previously identified as a key asset for its rare earth element projects.
The facility is designed to process rare earth carbonate materials, which are essential components in various advanced technologies, including electric vehicle batteries and wind turbines.
With full ownership secured, Lindian Resources is positioned to further develop its strategic interests in the rare earth market. The company is expected to focus on optimizing the plant's operational efficiency and expanding its production capabilities.
