SAN FRANCISCO – Linea Energy, a renewable energy developer and independent power producer, announced the closure of project debt financing and a preferred equity commitment for its 250 MW / 500 MWh Mesa View Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Upton County, Texas. This development is part of the company's strategy to expand its energy infrastructure.

The project's debt financing includes a construction-to-term loan, a tax equity bridge loan, and a letter of credit facility. Norddeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale (NORD/LB) served as the coordinating lead arranger, with Texas Capital participating as a syndicate lender. D.E. Shaw Renewable Investments (DESRI) provided the preferred equity commitment.

Mesa View BESS is expected to reach commercial operation in 2027. Upon completion, the project will deliver 250 MW of dispatchable capacity into the ERCOT market, aiming to enhance grid reliability and meet growing energy demand. Linea Energy CEO Cassidy DeLine stated that the financing closing demonstrates the continued maturation of the company's platform and its ability to deliver investable opportunities.
