On March 24–25, Lingnan University hosted its 2026 High School Principals’ Forum, bringing together educators from over 30 prominent secondary schools across China. The event focused on the intersection of artificial intelligence and education, examining how schools can adapt to the rapid advancements in digital tools.

University President and Chair Professor of Data Science, S. Joe Qin, framed the rise of AI as an "intellectual revolution" that necessitates a shift in teaching paradigms. He argued that as AI handles routine cognitive tasks, educators must focus on fostering critical thinking, ethical judgment, and creative knowledge construction in students.

Lingnan University has moved to integrate tools like ChatGPT and DeepSeek into its curriculum since 2023. The institution is also emphasizing "Liberal Arts 2.0," which combines traditional humanistic values with data science and AI ethics. The university aims to prepare students for a digital economy by bridging the gap between technological proficiency and social responsibility.

The forum concluded with discussions on student support services and international exchange programs. Lingnan University reported strong growth in undergraduate applications for 2026 and continues to prioritize high-quality education, as evidenced by its global rankings in sustainable development goals.
