LinkedIn Prioritizes Human-Authored Content
LinkedIn is implementing new tools to filter AI-generated content and reward human creators, increasing the value of authentic posts on the professional platform.

LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network, has recently intensified efforts to distinguish authentic, human-authored content from AI-generated material. This strategic shift aims to elevate the value and visibility of human creativity on the platform.
This focus on content quality was highlighted on October 8, when LinkedIn's Vice President of Engineering, Tim Jurka, explained the internal system that grades all published content. AI agents are employed to review posts, evaluating specific traits such as promotional intent, achievement celebration, or timeliness.
Further underscoring this direction, the company began testing its Creator Discovery tool on September 28. This feature allows businesses to search for creators to hire based on industry, job function, and audience. This dual approach—filtering out what LinkedIn terms "AI slop" while actively seeking and potentially compensating expert voices—signals a growing emphasis on genuine human communication.
These developments reflect a broader industry trend where personal voice and authentic experiences are increasingly valued on professional networking sites. The timing of these changes is significant, especially as companies face greater challenges in standing out and connecting with their audiences amidst fluctuating economic conditions and hiring trends.
