Linxon expands Glasgow workforce following SP Energy Networks contract
Infrastructure firm Linxon is increasing its headcount in Glasgow after securing a multi-million-pound contract to support SP Energy Networks' grid upgrades.

Linxon has entered into a contract with SP Energy Networks to provide infrastructure services as part of a £12 billion investment program aimed at bolstering Scotland’s transmission network. The deal serves as a catalyst for local expansion at Linxon’s Glasgow office, which has already doubled its capacity since opening earlier this year.
The project involves the deployment of high-voltage systems and grid automation technology, sourced through a partnership with Hitachi Energy. The work is essential to meeting the technical requirements of the upgraded electrical network.
By securing this contract, Linxon adds to its growing footprint in the Scottish energy sector. The company is currently moving to recruit additional staff to manage the scale of the new infrastructure deployments.
