Linyi Lintuo Highlights Winter Construction Challenges for Plastic Flooring
Linyi Lintuo Environmental Protection Materials Co., Ltd. has issued guidance on installing plastic flooring during winter, emphasizing the critical role of temperature and material handling.

Linyi Lintuo Environmental Protection Materials Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of environmental protection materials, has provided specific advice for the construction of plastic flooring during the winter season. The company highlights the significant impact of low temperatures on materials and the installation process.
According to Lintuo, the transportation and unloading of plastic flooring materials require careful handling in winter due to the increased brittleness of materials at low temperatures. The company advises storing these materials indoors in a vertical position to prevent damage and ensure safety.
A key concern for plastic floor installation in winter is ambient temperature. Lintuo stipulates that the construction site temperature must be above 15 degrees Celsius for PVC plastic flooring. Installation of elastic flooring is prohibited when temperatures drop below 10 degrees Celsius. Optimal conditions specified include an air temperature of at least 18 degrees Celsius, a relative humidity between 40-70%, and a surface temperature of no less than 15 degrees Celsius.
Furthermore, auxiliary materials used in flooring installation are also affected by cold weather. Interface agents, which are emulsion-based, may fail to form a film at temperatures below 5-8 degrees Celsius, compromising their sealing function and potentially leading to future hollowness or cracking. Similarly, excessively low temperatures can delay the drying and proper hydration of self-leveling compounds, potentially causing them to freeze and impairing their structural integrity.
