The 108th Lions Clubs International Convention concluded in Hong Kong on July 7, drawing over 17,000 members from more than 140 countries and regions. The five-day gathering served as a platform for international community leaders to share insights on charitable services and local needs, embodying the Lions' motto "We Serve".

Community service activities during the convention included visits to elderly residents and health awareness campaigns, benefiting nearly 3,500 people in Hong Kong. A significant event was the collective Tai Chi performance by over 4,000 Lions members from six continents, which set a new world record related to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).

The convention program also featured forums and seminars discussing leadership development and innovative approaches to charitable projects. Organizers highlighted the event's role in fostering international cooperation and enhancing the quality of community service globally. The gathering also included cultural exchanges, such as a "Dragon Night" gala celebrating Chinese heritage.

Dr. Tam Wing-kun, Honorary Chairman of the convention, noted the participants' positive experiences in Hong Kong, emphasizing the city's appeal as a global hub. The event is also reported to have provided economic benefits to Hong Kong's tourism and related sectors.
