CEO Tyron Breytenbach stated that the company is excited to begin its public journey after three years of building its lithium holdings and geological team across the African continent. He expressed gratitude for the support of shareholders and joint venture partner Ganfeng Lithium, and anticipates providing further portfolio updates in the coming weeks.
The company also announced it has granted a total of 1,075,000 restricted share units (RSUs) to certain officers, directors, and consultants. These RSUs, granted on February 18, 2026, at a deemed price of $2.80 per unit, will vest in full two years from the grant date, entitling the holder to one common share per RSU.
Lithium Africa holds a 50/50 joint venture with GFL International Co., Ltd. to advance exploration in Africa. Through this joint venture, the company indirectly owns a 50% interest in exploration assets across hard rock pegmatite districts in Ivory Coast, Guinea, Mali, and Zimbabwe.
