Lithium Africa Corp. Shareholders Approve All Proposals at Annual Meeting

Lithium Africa Corp. announced on August 24, 2026, the voting results from its annual general meeting of shareholders held on August 21 in Vancouver. All matters presented to the shareholders for a vote were approved.

The meeting saw the election of seven directors to the company's board for the upcoming year. Baker Tilly WM LLP was re-appointed as the company's auditor. Shareholders also approved the continuation of the company's omnibus long-term incentive plan and made amendments to it.

Key approvals included increasing the maximum number of common shares reserved for issuance under the incentive plan from 3,979,702 to 4,995,663. The plan also included the cancellation of outstanding stock options and the grant of replacement restricted share units (RSUs) to certain insiders, consultants, and employees. Amendments to existing RSU grants were also approved.

Ernie Ortiz and John Kanellitsas were elected to the board for the first time. CEO Tom Benson thanked shareholders for their support and welcomed the new board members. He stated that the transition from stock options to milestone-based RSUs aligns management's equity incentives with the company's growth.
