Munich – LMIS AG has concluded a project focused on modernizing legacy Java applications and making them ready for continuous release. Previously, the applications operated on monolithic architectures (SCS, Tomcat) with limited update capabilities, leading to long release cycles and manual deployment processes that hindered agile development and rapid feature delivery.

LMIS AG's solution involved containerizing the applications and incrementally migrating them into an OpenShift environment. This established Docker containers as the foundation for flexible deployment. Concurrently, infrastructure and processes were automated to facilitate seamless integration with modern DevOps approaches.

The successful containerization and integration into OpenShift have resulted in significantly faster and more reliable releases. The applications are now more maintainable, easier to scale, and prepared for full integration into a CI/CD pipeline, creating a future-proof technical basis for software development.

LMIS AG is leveraging this success to offer its expertise to other companies seeking to upgrade their software infrastructure and streamline development workflows, focusing on efficiency and the adoption of evolving technologies.
