IT services firm LMIS AG has been named the winner of the 2021 Osnabrück Economic Award (Osnabrücker Wirtschaftspreis). The award, presented by the Osnabrück Economic Development Agency (WFO) and an independent expert jury, recognized LMIS AG's multifaceted contributions to the region's economy, particularly its efforts in navigating the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.
The award, presented biennially, honors companies demonstrating dynamic and forward-thinking engagement. This year's theme, 'Consistently Innovative,' focused on businesses that forged new paths during the crisis. LMIS AG's success was attributed to its directional projects and its ambition to establish Osnabrück as an artificial intelligence (AI) hotspot. The company has invested in research and development, including the creation of its new AI-based product, Dynamian, aimed at the industrial sector.
LMIS AG is actively engaged in R&D and integrates AI, mixed reality, and blockchain technologies into its business operations. The company is also participating in GAIA-X lighthouse projects, such as Agri-Gaia and Autowerkstatt 4.0, to bolster the economic growth and appeal of the Osnabrück region for IT professionals.
