Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München (LMU) has announced a series of upcoming exhibitions and lectures covering a wide range of academic and cultural subjects. The program highlights the university's engagement with diverse fields, extending into art and historical research.

Among the scheduled exhibitions are "New Face for Leprosy," focusing on research into infectious diseases, and "Diversität der Biodiversität," which explores the diversity of biological life. LMU will also feature a poster exhibition on "Botanische Gärten in Bayern" (Botanical Gardens in Bavaria), alongside presentations of Josef Gruber's lead type collection and the University Library's collection of block books.

Historical perspectives will be addressed through events commemorating 200 years since LMU's departure from Landshut, and an exploration of Karl Krumbacher's contributions as the founder of Byzantine studies. Contemporary issues are represented by "Planetary Health – Am Puls von Mensch und Planet" (Planetary Health – At the Pulse of Humanity and the Planet), including discussions on environmental monitoring in Amazonia.

The university will also host a variety of specialized lectures. Topics include the history of veterinary medicine, masculinity and the early modern Catholic Church, and artistic presentations. Further discussions will touch on the portrayal of older individuals and the concept of the "atmospheric commons."
