Lüneburg, a city of 80,000 in northeastern Lower Saxony, is heading to further electoral rounds for key political positions. The mayoral race sees incumbent Claudia Kalisch (Greens) and Heiko Meyer (independent) advancing to a runoff election, mirroring the outcome of the 2021 election.
