Localsearch acquires digital marketplace renovero
Localsearch (Swisscom Directories AG) has acquired the digital craft marketplace renovero from TX Group. The acquisition strengthens Localsearch's position as a provider of digital services for SMEs.
Localsearch, part of Swisscom, has acquired the digital craft marketplace renovero from TX Group. Renovero was previously part of the construction platform Olmero. The acquisition significantly strengthens Localsearch's position as a provider of digital services for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Switzerland.
Renovero, described as Switzerland's leading online marketplace for craft services, will be integrated into Localsearch's existing offerings. According to Localsearch CEO Stefano Santinelli, this will create a comprehensive solution for tradespeople, covering everything from websites and online presence to the marketplace where supply and demand meet.
The renovero marketplace generates 40,000 digital quote requests annually, making it the busiest platform of its kind in Switzerland. Localsearch plans to enhance the platform's quality and expand its service offerings. Furthermore, renovero will be connected to Localsearch's existing marketing solutions, as well as the popular directory and booking platforms local.ch and search.ch.
TX Group, which previously owned renovero through Olmero, views the deal favorably. Samuel Hügli, Chairman of Olmero, stated that Localsearch is a suitable buyer who can lead the platform into the future. For Olmero, the transaction allows them to focus entirely on digitizing the construction industry within the B2B segment.
