Localsearch acquires SME service provider Websheep GmbH
Digital services provider Localsearch has acquired SME service provider Websheep GmbH and its comparison platforms. The acquisition expands Localsearch's product portfolio for Swiss small and medium-sized enterprises.
Localsearch, a digital agency for Swiss small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and operator of local.ch and search.ch, has acquired Websheep GmbH, a provider of services for SMEs, along with its platforms fahrlehrervergleich.ch, zahnarztvergleich.ch, anwaltvergleich.ch, treuhandvergleich.ch, and coiffeurvergleich.ch.
Websheep, which has specialized in developing and managing niche platforms since 2005, brings five established business directories to Localsearch's offerings. Localsearch CEO Stefano Santinelli stated that these directories, combined with existing products like the MyCOCKPIT booking solution and the local.ch platform, will form a strong addition to the company's portfolio.
The acquired platforms are characterized by their deep industry penetration, containing basic contact data for nearly every provider in their respective sectors. This makes them attractive to users searching for companies and services. SMEs benefit from an individual presence that can be expanded with details like photos and pricing.
Santinelli indicated that Localsearch aims to further strengthen these platforms, increasing their value for SMEs. He added that the acquisition provides an additional tool to support the economic success of their clients. Existing Websheep customers will not experience any changes due to the acquisition.
