L'OCCITANE Group Achieves B Corp™ Recertification Under New Standards

Geneva – L'OCCITANE Group announced a key milestone in its B Corp™ certification journey, with a majority of its corporate entities successfully completing recertification under the new B Lab™ standards. This achievement builds upon the group's initial B Corp™ certification in 2023 and underscores its ongoing efforts to strengthen corporate governance, employee welfare, and environmental practices.

The updated B Lab™ standards represent a significant evolution of the B Corp™ certification framework. Companies are now required to meet specific criteria across seven impact themes, undergoing a rigorous assessment and verification process. This certification is positioned not as a static achievement but as a continuous commitment to improvement, involving independent third-party audits and progressively demanding requirements.

L'OCCITANE Group has emphasized that B Corp™ certification serves as an independent framework to translate long-held values into concrete, measurable actions, driving continuous improvement in its business practices. Raphaëlle Archambeaud-Sicot, Group Chief Sustainability Officer, stated that responsible business is not static, and the new framework encourages further strengthening of governance, deepening environmental and social impact, and fostering year-on-year learning.

The group highlights its pride in being among the first to complete recertification under the new B Lab™ standards, intending to contribute its experience to the framework's development and promote responsible business practices more broadly. Several L'OCCITANE Group brands have already achieved recertification, with others progressing towards their own milestones, reflecting the company's long-term dedication to consistently enhancing its social and ecological impact across its portfolio.
