LOEWE Opens Craftsmanship Exhibition in Tokyo

Luxury fashion house LOEWE has opened "Crafted World," an immersive exhibition in Tokyo's Harajuku district, highlighting the brand's dedication to craftsmanship. The exhibition, which previously visited Shanghai in 2024, continues LOEWE's dialogue with Japan, a relationship dating back to 1973.

Designed in collaboration with OMA, "Crafted World" offers visitors a sensory journey through LOEWE's creative process and expertise since its founding in 1846. Interactive installations showcase iconic bags such as the Amazona, Flamenco, and Puzzle, while exploring Spanish landscapes and artisanal traditions. The exhibition also pays tribute to ancestral crafts, including the 400-year-old family tradition of making ceremonial Kama iron kettles in Kyoto.

"Crafted World" features works by recipients of the LOEWE Craft Prize and artistic collaborations, including reinterpretations of Studio Ghibli creations and pieces by ceramicist Suna Fujita. The exhibition spans over 1,300 square meters, blending technology with craft, featuring elements like an illuminated facade and a suspended flower garden.

An exclusive retail space offers limited-edition items created specifically for the Tokyo event. "Crafted World Tokyo" is open until May 11, 2025, located at 6-35-6 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo.
