In Paris, Loewe presented its anticipated Spring-Summer 2025 men's collection. Creative Director Jonathan Anderson drew inspiration from iconic figures of 20th-century art and design, referencing thinkers like Susan Sontag and objects by artists such as Peter Hujar, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, and Carlo Scarpa.
The collection was characterized by a form of restraint, creating a radical aesthetic. Silhouettes, at times veiled by elongated feathers, evoked a sense of fairy tales and myth. The tailoring demonstrated precision and elegance, with looks featuring twists like skin-revealing metallic waistcoats and bare-chested silhouettes paired with billowing draped pants. Luxe materials and refined finishes were evident throughout.
Checkered patterns were a dominant motif, highlighted by a polo shirt hand-embroidered with feathers in a houndstooth pattern. Japanese Shibori dyeing was applied to lightweight tops, showcasing the brand's commitment to traditional craft techniques. Illusionary elements, such as double-circled ostrich leather belts cinching waists, added depth and visual interest.
The presentation, held at La Garde Républicaine in Paris, underscored Loewe's artistic direction. The collection offered a subtle reflection on the male form and garment construction, presenting looks that were as unbridled and original as the collection itself.
