Logistics firm Porter appoints former Amazon executive as CFO

Logistics company Porter has named former Amazon executive Gaurav Jain as its new Chief Financial Officer. Jain brings over a decade of experience from Amazon, where he served as director and head of finance for India operations and supply chain. He fills a position left vacant for six months following the departure of previous CFO Anurag Jalori.

Alongside the external appointment, the company has promoted internal talent to key leadership positions. Shubham Gupta, formerly VP of Engineering, has been named Chief Technology Officer, while long-term staff member Mohit Rathi assumes the role of Chief Marketing Officer. Both leaders have served the company since 2015.

CEO Uttam Digga stated that the leadership changes are intended to support the firm's next growth phase. Porter, which achieved unicorn status last year after a $200 million funding round, provides B2B and B2C logistics across 35 Indian cities.

The firm has reported significant financial growth, with revenue increasing 54% to ₹6,650 crore in the most recent fiscal year. Net profit also saw a substantial rise, quadrupling to ₹229 crore compared to the previous year.
