Logitech Delays Another G Cloud Handheld

Logitech is not planning to release a second version of its G Cloud handheld gaming device in the near future. Robin Piispanen, Logitech's new head of gaming, stated that "right now, in this moment in time, there's bigger things for us to focus on than doing a second G Cloud."

While Piispanen acknowledged the appeal of handheld gaming, calling it "such a charming value proposition," he declined to provide a timeline or confirm if Logitech would revisit the market after the initial G Cloud's performance. The original device, launched in 2022, struggled to gain traction against competitors like the Steam Deck.

The $350 Logitech G Cloud was a streaming-focused handheld that aimed to offer a PC-like gaming experience on the go. However, its reliance on cloud streaming and a relatively high price point at launch limited its appeal in a market already dominated by more established hardware and services.

Logitech has not indicated when, or if, it will consider developing another handheld gaming device. The company's current focus remains on other, unspecified projects.
