Lone Star Analysis debuts Debrief IQ for pilot training efficiency
Lone Star Analysis has launched a generative AI tool designed to reduce the administrative workload for military flight instructors by automating data analysis.
Addison-based Lone Star Analysis has introduced Debrief IQ, a generative AI instructional assistant built on the company's Evolved AI platform. The system is designed to address staffing constraints in military pilot training by automating the parsing and analysis of data generated during flight and simulator exercises.
According to company reports, Debrief IQ can reduce the post-event workload for instructors by approximately 35 minutes per training session. By identifying performance patterns and assisting in the preparation of debriefs, the tool aims to allow instructors to dedicate more time to actual flight training. A major military command has already adopted the solution for use in its training operations.
This technology recently received Platinum Honors at the 2026 Military & Aerospace Electronics Innovators Awards. CEO Steve Roemerman stated that the solution is intended to mitigate the gap between the increasing demand for pilot output and the static number of available training instructors.
