Longevous Beamtech (LBT) debuted its 30 MeV LB-30 series cyclotron platform during the 39th Annual Congress of the European Association of Nuclear Medicine (EANM) in Vienna. The system is engineered to support the growing clinical requirement for medical radioisotopes used in diagnostics and targeted therapy.
By utilizing a 30 MeV beam, the platform allows medical facilities to produce a more diverse range of isotopes than traditional, lower-energy models. The introduction reflects a broader industry movement toward increasing onsite production capabilities for radiopharmaceuticals, thereby reducing reliance on external supply chains.
