Longtime Huawei Director Peng Bo Departs Company
Huawei board member and global procurement head Peng Bo has resigned after a 27-year tenure.
Huawei has confirmed the departure of Peng Bo, a long-serving executive and member of the company's board of directors. Peng, who joined Huawei in 1999, held various leadership roles over 27 years, primarily within the global sales and procurement divisions, with extensive experience in international markets including Europe and North America.
Corporate filings indicate that Peng has been removed from the company's official management registry. His seat on the board has been filled by He Gang, the CEO of Huawei’s Consumer Business Group (BG). This change further centralizes the influence of the consumer division within Huawei's governance, as the unit's chairman, Yu Chengdong, also occupies a board seat.
Peng, who confirmed his departure via social media, had transitioned back to domestic roles in public relations and supply chain management in 2021 before his exit. Huawei has provided no further details regarding the leadership transition.
