Longwave Financial Acquires MG Financial, Expanding Pacific Northwest Presence
Independent investment advisory firms Longwave Financial and MG Financial announced their acquisition today. The deal significantly bolsters Longwave's footprint in Washington State.

Longwave Financial, an independent investment advisory firm, has acquired MG Financial, Inc. The transaction expands Longwave's presence in Washington State, following its merger with Spectrum earlier in 2026. MG Financial, founded in 1994 in Seattle, specializes in financial planning and portfolio management.
The acquisition aims to integrate MG Financial's client base into Longwave's operations, which focus on financial planning, evidence-based portfolio design, and ESG investing. Maris Galins, founder of MG Financial, expressed confidence that Longwave would maintain the personal, trust-based approach he cultivated over his 30-year career. He described the selection of a successor firm as a critical decision for his retirement.
Eric Chaney, a Longwave partner who joined the firm through the Spectrum merger, will oversee the transition for MG Financial's clients. Chaney emphasized that Longwave's resources would enhance client service while preserving the established relationships and individualized approach. Clients will now be part of a firm managing close to $1 billion in assets.
Nathan Munits, CEO of Longwave Financial, stated that the Pacific Northwest is becoming a key area for the firm's growth. He highlighted the commitment to upholding the principles of deep personal engagement and integrity established by MG Financial's founder. The acquisition solidifies Longwave's service offerings across Seattle and the greater Bellevue area.
