LONGWELL EC Fan Achieves High Efficiency, Reduced Noise

LONGWELL, a technology firm, has introduced a new electronically commutated (EC) fan featuring a biomimetic design inspired by nature. The company states this new inverse-curve EC platform achieves high static efficiencies and quieter operation.

The fan reportedly reaches static efficiencies between 73% and 82%. Alongside this efficiency gain, LONGWELL claims a reduction in noise levels of 4 to 6 decibels (A-weighted), which suggests a significantly quieter performance.

These efficiency improvements are expected to translate into energy savings of 8% to 12% for users. The technology is being targeted at applications such as HVAC-R systems, data center cooling solutions, and air handling units, where energy consumption by fans can be substantial.

LONGWELL also highlighted that the fans are available with short delivery times. Further technical specifications and availability details were not provided in the announcement.
