Longwood Gardens to Feature Cosmic Christmas Display
Longwood Gardens' 2026 holiday exhibition, "A Longwood Christmas," will explore the wonders of space with celestial-inspired light and horticultural displays.
Kennett Square, Pa. – Longwood Gardens announced its holiday exhibition for 2026, titled "A Longwood Christmas," which will focus on a cosmic theme. The display is scheduled to run from November 20, 2026, through January 10, 2027.
The exhibition aims to transform the gardens into a universe of luminous lights and horticultural displays inspired by stars and the cosmos. The aim is to create a magical experience highlighting the holiday season and Longwood's renowned horticulture.
Inside the conservatories, visitors will encounter images from space telescopes like Hubble and James Webb. Botanical displays will feature thousands of poinsettias and other plants arranged to evoke celestial scenes, with decorated trees and planet-like forms fashioned from moss and flowers.
Outdoors, more than half a million lights will guide guests through the gardens, illuminating decorated trees and various designs. Large stars will be featured on the Small Lake, and lights will dance to music in the Italian Water Garden.
The exhibition is open from November 20, 2026, to January 10, 2027. Timed tickets are available for purchase on the Longwood Gardens website.
