Loro Piana extends product traceability to André shirt
Luxury brand Loro Piana has extended its product traceability service to include its iconic linen André shirt. Customers can now trace the shirt's production journey via a digital certificate.

Loro Piana, a maison within the LVMH group, has expanded its traceability service to cover its iconic André shirt made from linen. This new offering allows customers to follow the garment's journey from its origin to the finished product.
Last year, Loro Piana launched a similar traceability service for its The Gift of Kings garments. Now, for the André shirt, traceability is facilitated through a digital certificate registered on the Aura Blockchain Consortium platform. By scanning a QR code on the product, customers can access information regarding production locations and years.
The company states this initiative underscores its ongoing commitment to environmentally conscious practices and transparency throughout the production chain. Sustainable sourcing and open production processes are highlighted as key operational themes.
This feature aims to provide consumers with detailed information about the origin and manufacturing of luxury goods. The use of blockchain technology for immutable and secure data storage is intended to enhance consumer confidence in product authenticity and responsibility.
