Los Angeles Auto Show Details 2026 Energy Focus
The Los Angeles Auto Show outlined its 2026 theme as Energy. AutoMobility LA begins November 19, addressing diverse powertrain technologies from gasoline to electric.

The Los Angeles Auto Show has detailed its primary theme for the 2026 edition: Energy. Chevron with Techron has been named the lead sponsor, underscoring the central role of energy in the automotive sector.
AutoMobility LA, commencing November 19 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, will kick off its international media and industry day with energy-focused discussions. This theme will continue throughout the 10-day public run from November 20-29. The conversations will explore a diverse automotive energy landscape, encompassing gasoline, hybrid, and electric powertrains, with California serving as a key example of this evolution.
Southern California hosts design and advanced development operations for several automakers. Consumers in the region register a significant number of new gasoline, hybrid, and electric vehicles. The state also boasts an extensive charging infrastructure for EVs, and its port complex supports the integration of heavy-duty electric trucks.
Chevron's local presence, including its El Segundo refinery, provides regional context for its sponsorship role. The company will showcase the next generation of its Techron gasoline additive. The event aims to convene automakers, energy companies, technology firms, and government representatives to share insights and display vehicles.
Terri Toennies, President and COO of the Los Angeles Auto Show, stated that Los Angeles is the largest automotive market in the U.S., and energy remains a critical issue for the industry. Chevron's sponsorship highlights the show's value in reaching a broad audience.
