Los Angeles Film School names producer Lane Cheek to Spotlight Academy

The Los Angeles Film School has named Lane Cheek, an Emmy-winning executive producer and member of its 2010 graduating class, as an inductee into its 2026 Spotlight Academy. The institution established the academy to recognize alumni who have demonstrated professional excellence and a commitment to supporting the school’s community.

Cheek’s production credits span major studios and networks, including work on series such as Modern Family, The Vampire Diaries, and The Originals. Following an early career in on-set and art department roles, she founded Cheeky Consulting in 2020, focusing on production strategy and brand development.

Beyond her television work, Cheek has pursued projects centered on environmental issues, such as the documentary Our Planet 360, which examines shark populations and ocean conservation. Her induction marks her ongoing career impact and advocacy efforts within the entertainment industry.
